I agree with DarthRaider and I'd change out all the cooling system components and parts so you will be reliable for a good amount of miles to come. Plus, any diesel engine that is driven by a timing belt should have the belt changed for the reason that you may not know when it was last done. It is a very good idea. Let us know if you happen to run the engine while it's out on an engine stand or secured correctly. A test run of it running may be a good idea too.
