I don't use HH iso for running Yukon stoves either. Oh well.

Yet another update;

Okay, my truck decided to die yesterday while it was idling outside of my place of work. I decided to let it run while I was getting some food and when I came back out, my truck had stalled! I didn't think much of it, but when I started it back up again, my truck starting to scream (literally). I have found that there's a pulley that ain't turning! It's on the fan pulley bracket (it's the bracket that the alternator belt fits on, closest to the timing belt cover. What options do I have for a repair, or does this whole assembly need to be replaced? Did this have anything to do w/ that stumbling I mentioned?

Thanks!

Depending on your belt tensioners configuration you might be able to pull the pulley and put some bearing grease on the bushing and bolt to get you by. Mine did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. You can replace the bearings but Toyota will only sell you the entire pulley. (Atleast for my year model) If you just need the bearing do a local search for a bearing company. The bearing should cost about $15 while the pulley is about $75.

you didnt get any anti freeze on the pully did you?? a while ago i accidently spilled some on one of mine and it did the same thing. the belt would spin but the pully would not. I got new belts and cleaned the pully really good and it worked fine.

I went back to the parking lot today and thought I'd start taking some stuff out (radiator and fan thus far) so I could at least get a better look at what I'm dealing w/, and I found a coolant leak from the water inlet (I think the inlet is on top? Don't remember... ) that more than likely led to the pulley locking up. Guess now I've got something to do in the mornings before work...yay ! I had my truck towed home, so now it's safe in my "garage" away from the overly helpful townsfolk of P-burg.

Aside from re-greasing/replacing the bearings, I'm gonna replace my valve cover gaskets because they're leaking too much for my liking. Better do a valve adjustment as well. I'll be replacing the alternator belt because that got slighty fried during our trouble shooting, fixing any coolant leaks I can find and anything else that needs to be taken care of! Is there anything else I oughta do while I'm at this stage? Thanks!

34k on the timing belt. Isn't that a 60k item?

On a timing belt I'm not sure, but probably 60-100k.

Well, got the fan pulley bracket all torn down and naked and discovered some metal on metal contact on the bearing. When I pulled the pulleys off, they looked to be in good condition and still reusable, but the bracket on the other hand...well...

Don't think you can see the metal shavings and fragments in this pic, but they're there. Can I replace that toasted bearing or does the whole bracket need to be "recycled" and replaced? If so, I've got one all lined up on e-Bay!

Thanks for any shoves in the right direction!
