kuso, I know you said you cleaned the EGR but have you tested it with a vacuum guage? If not, I'd highly recommend you go buy a vacuum bleeder from Autozone for $30 and test the EGR as well as the EGR Modulator. Also check for fuel starvation. (i.e. fuel filter, fuel pump) Pull your plugs and see what they look like.

I should have been a little more clear on the other post about the CAT. IF it is the CAT it has to be clogged quite a bit in order to choke down the motor. If your pretty sure it is the CAT go buy a flexible straight pipe and a clamp for @ $10 and cut the CAT out to see if that cures the problem. Use some GOOD foil tape from an HVAC supplier. Not that crap they sell in the local hardware stores. Wrap the joints of the flex pipe with several layers and then put the clamps on. This seals the joints and prevents them from leaking.

PS. Don't worry about the plastic burning smell. It goes away after awhile. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
