The majority of Christians weren't standing up against the IRA when they were using car bombs (or more recently robbing banks) in Ireland. Does that mean that they don't exist? Or simply that they do not care?

Look who gets the press coverage in the "Christian" world. Pat Robertson? Jerry Falwell? These people don't represent my views, but it seems like everywhere in the world the squeeky wheel gets the grease (or attention in this case).

Even if they are peaceful, I imagine that many moderate Muslins sympathize with the demonstrators (more than with the West, which they still may vilify or fear) or are simply too busy putting food on the table to be concerned about those events. I can certainly think of parallels in our own country.
