Oy, tires.

So that I maintain consistency, the BFG All Terrain T/A is the best AT out there. I have put them through hell in the desert and they always brought me home.

That being said, there are sooooooooo many good tires out there, get a warranty and try some. I would also mention that up in your part of the states you might want to look at more off road oriented tires due to the slippery off road conditions. I've been looking and looking at the Kumho's, way cheap and a warranty through Tire Rack... I loved the Goodyear MT/R's on my 4Runner and I'll get a set for the new Taco in a year or so.

Wheel? Rule of thumb, 11.5 section width = 7 in. rim OK, 12.5 section width = get an 8" rim. HTH.
