Hey all,

I woke up from my vicoden coma for a little while hahaha..

I had not removed the safety shield, but i was not using the side handle..

As for the sawzall blades.. i know what you are talking about there too.. i bought a HF sawzall and the blades snapped like a cheap toothpick...i was expecting that though

I have found that the Leonard brand blades are the best. They are a little expensive, but they will not break.

Again.. thank you all for your well wishes, and please learn from my mistake.. I wouldnt wish this pain and discomfort on anyone.

Peace
Joel

Given what your face did to that blade, you need to be doing shaving commercials!

Ha, yah i wish my face had done that to the blade.. I think it broke like that, and thats what caused it to hit me in the face.

The Uvex Bionic face shield is on back order until March, through the Manufacturer.. Does anyone know anywhere that might have those in stock? i got a cheapo from Home Depot, but i want to look cool while i am safe...

Body Damage is Cool
Frame that sucker and hang on the wall in mantown like a platinum lp or something. Hopefully your last hit single. or single hit. very cutting edge. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />

I usually use the lock-on button on my grinder with the cut-off wheel of grinder wheel but only wear goggles. I've had it kick back or take off running before but never suffered anything more that a "hey wake up, you're alseep at the wheel" moment. I'm now eyeing up the face shield.
thanks for posting up the gore. Sorry it happened to you. Good luck getting back into the project.

I had a 12" "china hat" grinding disc go 1/2" into my knee while fabricating my winch bumper. I had 4 inside stitches and 8 on the outside. The disc completley cotorized the cut so it never bled, and It actually didnt really hurt. Luckily It missed muscle tissue so it just went through skin and fat. No serious damage, just a cool scar.
I have stitches in my face right now. Good ol' bmx accident.

Good find on the UVEX face shield Steve. The place i called on tuesday said that no one has them, and that they were on backorder until March, from the factory. Well I just ordered one from Professional Equipment, with spare shield and a number 5 shade shield..
