Someone asked me a question today that I wasn't 100% on. What is the difference between the YAZAKI and NIPPENDENSO model clusters?
Thanks! John

I am the person you emailed you about your cluster for sale. I did not know there was a difference in tach. clusters until today either. I purchased a instrument cluster with tach and other gauges and I went to the local O'Reilly Auto Parts and on their computer system it asks that question. I did not know what they meant byYAZAKI but after looking at my new to me cluster i noticed it written on the back. But it is not working on my truck.

One more thing the reason I was at the autoparts store is because I needed a new oil pressure sending unit and it asked if it was with YAZAKI or NIPPENDENSO so I bought both.

Well, that's too funny Jared! Sorry for the asking here myself - I just knew all the instrument clusters I have seen all say YAZAKI and your question caught me off guard. When I put my new to me too SR5 cluster in I went to Checker Auto Parts, asked for a oil sending unit and the only thing they asked me is was if for a 'idiot' light or actual gauge - I got the actual gauge one and the cluster I picked has worked fine since I installed it! If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks for the inquiry though!
John
PS That's way too funny about the connection between here and eBay - I got a good Monday laugh outta it!
