thanks for the link. im fixing to make a set of spacers for my monty for an additional 1.5/2"'s of lift when i do the genII upper a-arms and flip the ball joints. was thinking, since this thing will never be doing any "serious" off roading (did it once... and still hear about it from the wife... something along the lines of "WHEEL YOURS DAMMIT!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />), mabey i shouldotta just do some spacers for the rear springs and crank the t-bars. anybody got a drawing/design for spacers? no, im not thrifty... im cheap <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />!

Body Damage is Cool
One of the worst flaming posts i have ever seen hit this board came from someone wanting design schematics for lift components/bumpers. Im thinking the answer is going to be mainly "Take measurements, and design them yourself. The manufacturers spend many hours designing and producing their product, and it would be in vain to take that away from them for free".

Just fore-warning you.

About the only DIY one I have seen: http://myweb.cableone.net/bcanderson/trooper/coils/coils.html
But personally I would get the OME coils, they improve the ride in every way IMO...

im a little bit split on the material that he decided to use... i know the material. imho it would be subject to compression (especially after out in the elements), thus compromising its integrety. i checked out that link for the ome coils... leaning more towards the coils (if the wife will let me buy them) then the spacers but i thought id throw it out there to you isuzu heads <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />. thanks for all the input guys.
btw, i came up with the idea of lifting it... but since then the wife saw a yoked out newer trooper w/ custom bumpers, roof rock, lift, the works. she squealed... ive almost got her to let me do some of the stuff to her rig to shed the local soccer mom stereotype that comes with her rig. doubt ill ever get her to do any serious wheeling with it (even with me behind the wheel) but aleast she would look the part <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />.

A set of OME 912 coils and 265/75 tires look pretty nice together...

I bought a pair of OME 919s from http://www.rocky-road.com/trooper.html. They have the OME 912s listed for 66.02 each for a total of 132.04 for the set. I checked for shipping to Salt Lake City and it was only 15.87 for a grand total of 147.91. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

thats a pretty sweet set up... im liking those. mof, that trooper in the pic wasnt to far off from the one that my wife squealed over... just the tires were a bit bigger/nastier. just out of curiosity, what would you guys recommend the medium, heavy duty or expedition duty? wont be doing any serious wheeling but will occasionally be loaded to the gills for road trips or when we go camping pulling a pop up trailer. main use for the rig is commuting, running errands, picking up kids, blah, blah... she really loves the way the thing rides now, so i dont want to change that much. but it would be nice not to have the sagging when i go to tow the trailer, or when i load up and go on the road trips to the pnw.

I think the 912 (medium) should be fine for you. i got the 919 because i do some towing every now and again.
