On my 86 4Runner, the CSI timmed switch was not working but the injector was fine.
What I did was, wire my CSI to a momentary toggle switch, bypassing the CSI timmed switch.<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
I hit the switch for a second or two when the motor is cold.
It's been this way for over 6 years.

OH, and the specialty tool 09843-30011 is just a CSI conector with two wires, one to ground and the other to 12v. listen for the click.
