Need a Spot
Hello hente, was wondering if there are any die hard trooper mechanics out there in the Phoenix metro area, or anyone you could recommend? My 89rs has numerous problems, one major is a heavy tranny noise in 5th gear between 60-68mph, it usually starts its racket on deceleration. I work on a boat & will be leaving in a couple of months. Would like to do a lot of work to the girl b4 I send her down to Central America for the rest of her days. Any help on good people in or around Phoenix,.. or the state for that matter that you could suggest would greatly help in my legwork b4 I get there. Appreciate the time! -Noel-

You can have a tranny mechanic look at it first.

I would do a R&R on the tranny if it ended up being bad since you might find one on the cheap.

What part of S America are you headed? Reason I ask is, they have the Isuzu Caribe down in Venezuela and you could always buy one of those!

Chris,
Now you know what cars I modeled my Trooper after!
Did you see you can buy a 93 RS and it's still in a 1st gen body style?! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Hey thanks for the response! Don't always have access to the internet. The truck will be going to Costa Rica. Appreciate the advice! If you know any good mechanics that you can think of I sure would appreciate it. Thanks for the time! -Noel-

I feel like I was treated well by Denny's Transmission in Phoenix... the price was fair and so far, no problem with the work!

Talk to Randy there, 602-788-1104
