North-Central Kentucky got a dusting, and it kept coming throughout the day; I guess we've got a couple of inches now. Not nearly as dramatic (nor exciting!) as Bansil's ski-bob pictures, but here's a shot--

Ooooh,

I couldn't help it 21" of snow and a chance to drive in 4-Hi. No way I could pass that up. Never made off pavement, but I got to drive through 18" to 20" of snow on back roads...

I can safely say that siped MT/R's are just wonderful in the deep stuff. I sailed past an F-350 trying to get down the road in 2wd with no snow tires...and other assorted trucks, just sliding around.

My my, haven't had that much fun since snoqualmie pass with 24" of fresh snow

Alas, no camera....

Matt

Got about a foot here. I had to go to a construction site for work last night that I had never been to before. There was already an inch or 2 when I got there, so it was hard to tell where the roads were. I kept on driving into ditches. Luckily the Trxus MT's are awesome in the snow. Unfortunately they are mounted on my Chevy, which won't engage 4wd for some reason. Still, had no problems going anywhere. It finally stopped snowing about 4 am, I drove around and did some Icelandic style snow wheelin. Too bad it all melted after the plows came through this morning.

To save on bandwidth (and because these pix arenÆt really that hot)à

Yesterday evening:
Photo 1
Getting ready to go return our movies.

Photo 2
A very sad sight û Seen here after being cleaned-off two times in 24-hours.

Photo 3
This parking lot was clear when we arrived, just 5-minutes earlier.

Photo 4
One of the reasons why the Rodeo never had to move.

As we left the video store, dime to quarter-sized flakes were falling in abundance û and all of the roads were white, where they had been completely clear only minutes before. --- I took the æscenic routeÆ on the way back home, providing Kathy with a first-hand demonstration of our new REVOsÆ capabilitiesà

I turned into a neighborhood and chose a particularly steep street to ascendà and without any fuss at all, the VX climbed right up it û with the TOD doing what it does bestà

Kathy: ôThatÆs it? û YouÆre just in æDriveÆ? û You didnÆt have to push any buttons or levers or anything?ö
Me: ôNope.ö
Kathy: ôAnd you just climbed that without having to get on the throttle?ö
Me: ôYep.ö
Kathy: ôIÆm impressed!ö

(And honestly, so was I <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )

Gotta run - about another 2-inches fell last night <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I was southwest of the city for the weekend and we got about 15". I hit the road in the heart of the storm and had a fun time. Almost all of the other vehicles on the road were snow plows. Only saw about a dozen vehicles though. Its nice being on "lonely" roads. Very uncommon around here.

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

I did the same. We got about 22 inches so I went for a stroll on the roads.

She's been running rough with an engine surging problem, so I didn't stay out too long. It's kinda freaky when you're sliding to an intersection and the engine revs and pushes you through the intersection. Good thing noone was out, except for some kids on quads and snowmobiles.

Stupid me took pics while shoveling, but not while driving!!

22 inches in 12 hours: a record around here. Real nice and fluffy too!!
