What color to paint??? #696106 02/13/06 05:43 PM

One of my buddies is going to do some car painting and auto body work this summer so I'm going to let him do my trooper since my fender is bowed out and the paints peeling off of it. I got to thinking about colors and to be honest, I can't really think of what I want. After looking at alot of paint chips online I think I want either a deep forest green or a jet black. Those are really the only colors I can think of that would look good. What do you guys think would look good? Its got a tan interior so keep that in mind. I really have no idea what I'm wanting so shoot me some colors. Heres some pics of what it looks like now

I'm gettin new wheels before I get it painted so they'll be chrome or black depending on the color.

od green or desert tan, with a matching color roofrack, and bumpers.Black grill and trim.....I've always loved that look on the troop.

As to the interior......military vehicles never match'd

i like flat colors for the old school troops. flat tan, olive drab green, navy, etc. pretty much any outdoorsy color looks at home on a trooper.

I like the color on it, same as my 86 Troop. Same interior also. I resprayed the body and cleaned, painted, or replaced all the black trim and bumpers. Then added a black Yakima rack and black AR 767 wheels. The color held up to a lot of scratches and took a coat of wax nicely.

However I'm partial to dark greens or flat colors as well.

Green, either flat or shiney. Black would be ok if it was flat but shiney black is a pain in the When I was looking for a rodeo I wanted either blue or green. Didnt want white, black, or silver. However I couldnt pass up the price on the black one I have now, but it shows every ding and scratch. The more I look at silver ones the more I like that color on them.

I hate beige interiors. I used to drive cars for my uncle who had an auto transport business. Mom and I always got the ones with beige interiors.

go with a Trailer Park Camo job or blaze orange and black bengal tiger stripes-just like those awesome old-school Bengals Zubaz pants from 1990. Or maybe bright yellow/black with "killer bee" graphics

Just kidding, I'd go with Flat Military Tan w/brown or black trim.

hahah lots of votes for OD!!! well, that's what color mine is and damn it looks good that way!

However, there's really only one "clear" choice for how you should paint your Troop...
