I will say that the FJC impressed all who attended. Not that it did any crawling on a snow infested sand dune... but it did pull out an FJ55!!!

Glad to hear the positive comments on the FJ. If you got more details when you're less busy, be interesting in hearing more.

Exactly. Expect idiotic dollars in dealer mark-up.

A lot of dealers are selling for MSRP.

If you have to ask about a SAS, you're not ready for it.

My buddy in OH is sales manager for a Yoter shop, and he was telling me they've been instructed as to what will be seen as reasonable 'premium' mark up. His lot sucks anyway, never any inventory (unless you want a stripped 4X2 Tacoma, then that's the place to go). I'll just hold onto the Taco, then look for a decent used one, or buy new when the rush dies out.

My brother tells me production will be around 40,000 units this year. Anybody heard otherwise?

Yeah, I'm sure some dealers are marking up, but if you shop around you can find MSRP dealers. There was one on ebay a while ago who said they're selling the vehicle and any add ons for msrp.

But I'm with you, I ain't buying now, I'd wait at least a year if not more.

When it does come to purchase date, I'm defintiely driving the 4 hours to the Baltimore CarMax Toyota lot. I couldn't believe how cheap CarMax sells new for. My buddy was looking @ Titans and Armadas, and they were giving them away for 5 under MSRP! Sure, it'll tick off my buddy back home, but come on!!!!

In reality I think that's exactly what I'm going to do. Assuming it turns out to be everything I hope it to be.
