I hear ya. Shortly after my rebuild, the front seal let go, then my water pump went out. Now, the engine sat for about 6 months after it was long blocked by the machine shop, so I figure the front seal was my fault. However, the water pump letting go about a year after it was cranked and started being run irritated the crap out of me. Getting these things right IS time consuming and CAN BE a pain in the butt.

I don't have any great advice, other than to keep at it and walk away if necessary. One good thing is you are not alone.

How bad is the rear oil leak? I might leave that until last if I was not forced to pull the motor for some other reason.....
