Hehe... I swear yall are pros. Sure enough, it was a combo problem. One, I couldn't start on my own because my battery was in bad shape, no matter how much charging I did on it. And two, it looks like the grounding wasn't very good because even with my battery out of the loop and my wife's battery jumpered into place, it still wouldn't start. Took her battery out, put it into my jeep, messed around with the ground a bit, started right up.

Thanks guys!

Now I got a new Duralast battery that doesn't quite fit right under the clamp. I'm looking at the aluminum hold downs. Anyone got any suggestions?

BUNGEE! They work good and are easy to undoo. If it was mine I would make the needed parts and install em.. But not all have the tools.

I use super cheap ratchet or pull hold downs. If you keep them clean they last a long time, Otherwise they only last a couple months... Bungies allow way to much battery movement for me.
