Well, the taco is gone. Salvage yard that worked with Toyota gave up $2800 for it. G/f ended up going with a '01 camry, 5speed 4cyl. No more 4 wheel drive for her, but the 32.8 miles per gallon that we got driving home with the camry made her feel a little better! (Don't worry though, I'll give up my 4Runner once I'm dead, and it doesn't have ANY rust on it)
Too close for missiles, I'm switching to guns...
'97 4Runner...SR5, 4cyl (3RZ), 5spd, 4wd, no rust, excellent shape.

I've seen worse classic cars saved but it ain't cheap. I wouldn't have bothered with this case either. Good luck in your search.

Good luck in your search. No search, we're all done. She already has her camry, and I have my 4Runner. We get things done quickly! A few months ago, I had a '94 pickup and she had her Tacoma. Who would have figured?

Did u say you got 2800 for it? Did it have the 3.4 or the 2.7? Because it's worth WAY more than 2800 in parts... i would have paid that if it was a 3.4!

i dont know about the '98 but I had a 2001 and the frame was boxed and I am pretty sure that my brothers 2000 is also That is what he is saying, it is boxed to the point where the arc starts at the rear tires. From there back it is C channel. take a close look and you will see that.
