Well , not a lot accomplishedon Friday , but my transmission did show up The rest of the day I was scratchingmy head trying to come up with an idea for lifting the bodies.I still had it in my head to make my engine hoist work , so I got out the tape measure , figured out how high I needed it to start and how high it has to lift in total.I then measured how high the hoist goes at full extension of the hydraulics. It was still a foot too short

Anyway , I sat there looking at it for a few mninutes , then had an idea of moving the hydraulic ram up about a foot when its all the way in , making it a almost 2 feet extension , plus the foot extra. So I got out the welder and put 2 brackets a foot higher , and also the ram still sits in between them so I can switch back to the other brackets easily for removing engines I haven't had a chance to use it yet , hopefully today.I was swinging off the end of it , so its strong , but of course the body ways about tweice what I do.So , the plan for today is to get the body lifted off , and cut her up into pieces I can throw in my van and take to the metal recycler.Who knows I might get 20 bucks out of it

Its starting to cloud over pretty good , so just have to wait and see if the weather cooperates for me.The only thing I think thats is still on the body to come off before I lift it is the emergency brake , as there is the mount in the cab , then 2 on the frame for it.Easy enough to take off though from the cab. So , next pics , maybe later today should be just the frame sitting there with the engine , tranny and transfer case.
