Yes , I cranked it as far as it goes each way , and no rub on the shocks. It looks like it gets close , but its still about 1/4" away , so its all good.It just looked really tight with the old calmini shocks in there and the stock tie rods , but the rancho 9000 aren't much bigger than the calminis.
It will look even better once the back axle is on and the back tires and shocks

Not much progress today.I have everything unplugged to take the body off ,and started to lift it off.I thought I would do it with the doors still on.I got it a couple inches up , stuck some blocks under the body between the frame , and then the part I modified on my engine hoist broke on the welds It was just too much weight.Even the back of the hoist was lifting off the ground as the front was digging into the ground.I didn't want to have to take the doors off as I have nowhere else to put them , it allready looks like an auto wreckers here , parts everywhere
I'll try and come up with another plan to lift the body off , or , worst case scenario , I take off all the doors again , and fix my modification.I know why it didn't hold up , I didn't put a cross piece under the 2 tabs , that way I could put the boom back where it goes easy enough without the tabs being in the way , so there wasn't enough strength to hold the weight , putting it all the welds.
I'll give it some thought tonight and see what I come up with.I need the body off so I can get the axle out and some other stuff.I don't want to put it on jackstands before I get the body off.
I almost forgot to mention Taking the body off is not really a one person operation. It was easy with the other truck as I didn't care what happened to it as it was getting cut up.So any hoses , brake lines , whatever just got chopped off , and not disconnected. This truck everything had to be disconnected , unplugged , and make sure nothing binds while lifting.I really need the proper tools and facilities
I do have someone that is going to help put the body back on , as he will probably be on holidays at that time which will work good.Other than that , everyone I know works different times than me and get off late.

Well , I got the body off today , called a guy I know who has a tow truck.Gave him a little cash to help me out , and it took less than 15 minutes from when he got here The body is now off and sitting a few feet away.I then took off the axle , and rolled it out of there.I still have to take off the drive shafts , but the nuts on there are a real PITA.Its a 14MM , but trying to get anything to fit on there isn't easy , all I can do is fit the open end of a wrench , and then the nuts want to try and strip. Not a good thing.Anyway , I took a picture of the frame there , just the engine and tranny left on it for now. Also , I am putting a post of pics of the rotted frame so people can see what happens when you don't treat your frame good and flush the crud out of it One this rot process starts , the frame is toast , you can't fix it likeif it was just rusting a little. ![[Linked Image]](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/shadowbarak/IMG_0667.jpg)

Not a lot done today , but its something anyway I took the axle into the the shop , got all of the bushings out of the springs and shackles , cleaned up the axle a little and resprayed some spots ,and all of the carrier.I also painted the shackles as they were getting discolored.I was then going to put my indy4x brake line on the back axle , but I noticed a major problem with it This is the hose that splits the one line to go to both rear lines , but there are no holes in the side for the 2 lines to split off.I think this one was missed when they were finishing them up It does have the hole to bolt it to the axle , but thats it.
Anyway , all thats left to do is wait for the paint to dry , put all the bushings in , which I went with the poly instead of rubber for the back , put the shackles on , the shocks , that one brake line , and then change the tires from the 31 to the new 33" and the back is all done. That will leave me sitting on a fully finished suspension on the frame , with tires on.I can then run the brake lines on the frame , and thats done.I can't really do the fuel lines untill I get the fuel cell mounted in there so I know where to put everything, but that will be coming soon enough. Then I get to start putting the engine in and go from there.

...there are no holes in the side for the 2 lines to split off.... That's for the new Bluetooth Wireless G braking system! Sounds great Barak, man I sure wish I still had the gettup and go to tackle a project like that... but for now I guess all I can do is dream, and hope for PICTURES!

Always something to slow you down Was out there for a few hours today , all I got accomplished was putting my bushings in the spring eyes and shackle mounts.I tried putting the rear end in , but of course nothing wants to line up.I can't get either the front or back to line up , or even close to it.I did manage to get one of the spring eye pins in , but still can't get anything else close , so I gave up for the day before I ended up getting angry and smashing something on it There has to be an easy way to line this thing up , there is no body to get inthe way , just the frame and axle.I'll try again tomorow , maybe I can think of something to help make it easier.

Ok , spent a couple hours out there today (just under 3) , and actualy made some more progress.I got the axle all in , the driver side shock is on , and the passenger side shock is half on.Ran into a little snag with that too.I opened up the box , took everything out , and lo and behold , there was no hardware for the top of the shock Everything else was in there , the shock , bellows , sticker and zap strap , but no collrs , bushings and nut for the top.so , needless to say , the passenger side is not done yet with the brake line thing and the shock missing the hardware. The tires are now on , and its looking better.I also mocked into place my steering stabilizer in the front end , I didn't tighten anything down yet. Yes , I do have some pics today There are pics of the axle in , the shocks , close up of tire tread , one shot of the new rims , and a couple shots of the fuel cell I am putting in.Oh , a couple shots of the steering stabilizer , and also the diff drop bracket all in place , can't remember if I had one of that allready. LINKLINK LINK Heres a pic of the brake line , it has the hole where it bolts to the axle , but as you will see in the next pic , there are no more holes on the side , where it is supposed to split the brake line to the 2 rear brakes LINK Thats it for today , will have more pics as I make more progress

that is actually a front SAS line (isuzu hardline to Dana 44 caliper....called a slant block fitting)
anyway sorry, it was just a mis-ship.......but it solves a shop mystery.........we were wondering where that other line went.
getting a replacement off to you asap.

Not a lot accomplished today , but its coming together.I got the other shock all completed , ran the brake line , just have to figure out how I am going to clip it to the frame now.No point using the stock clips as the fuel lines I am using won't fit in there and a waste to use them for one brake line.I also took the steering hoses and stuff off the other frame and transfered to this one.I guess the next step is to get the motor into the back yard and put on the frame. That should be interesting.I have to take it from the back shop , through the alley , around the house , and through the back yard Other than that , theres a few things I can do , like a few broken bolts have to be removed for putting the skid plates on , theres a couple bolts that aren't holding properly on the bumper , they won't tighten down all the way , so will have to replace those , and I still have to bolt the middle of the hitch down to the frame , and also the midle bolt area of the bumper I need to fab something up to fill the space between the back crossmember and the bumper so I can bolt that down there 2 , so that 8 bolts will hold it down , and a total of 10 for the hitch.
As for the fuel cell and lines , I am having the cage built for it , should be ready soon , then I can start running the fuel lines and stuff.I still have to get my transfer case fixed on that one hole that was bent , I think a machine shop should be able to handle that , redrill it and tap it.I don't have the proper stuff to do a precision job like that , and I don't want to ruin the bolt hole.
I also took the exhaust off the engine , only a couple parts I will be using , if I don't decide to just get new stuff. From just behind the O2 sensor , after it joins into one pipe is all new 2 1/4 , and new flowmaster , so will fix that all up and get it fit in there.I played around with it a little today , and it doesn't seem to sit how I want , so I might have some custom stuff done to it to make it fit the way I want and sit a little better.Right now it sits pretty close to the leaf springs , and the hitch.Once I get the fuel cell in there , I'll see what I have for room and how I can run it better.
