My 92 Jeep wrangler 2.5 is getting about 100 miles per tank of gas. I looked the car over fuel likes are perfect with no leaks. I live in an area in the woods where I dont take the car over 50 mph, and i'm very light on the pedal. It seems to idle fine, drives perfect, temperature fine, did a full tuneup . no difference with that. If anyone has any idea what could be causing for such ridiculious gas mileage or things i could check, thanks

Is your drivetrain stock? stock tires, stock gears ect? How are you measuring the milage? odo? measured miles?

Have you checked for trouble codes? You may need a new O2 sensor. Maybe someone is stealing your gas?

Truble codes are ran, nothing showing up. I replaced the o2 sensor when I did the tune up since I get parts for free. But I guess it's not something that can be solved over a forum. Shucks

I think you should refigure the milage... 100 miles on a tank is real hard to believe. Have you checked for a fuel leak?

what's the best way of checking it? the problem is, when my tank is empty you put in $10 my guage goes up 75% of the way and the car takes $30.

You fill it all the way to the TOP and then drive till it is at 1/4 tank or so and fill it to the top again.. subtract first fill miles from 2ed fill miles and devide by the gallons and you have your milage..

wait if you put $10 in and it goes to 3/4 maybey your sending unit is bad or it has a faulty ground.get a 5 gallon gas can and fill it just in case, and a can of ether.
after the gauge shows empty keep going to see if it is off.Like BJ said recheck the milage and check for leaks around the fuel injectors and fuel lines in the engine compartment. A locking gas cap isnt a bad idea either.Another possibility is your tank may be dented causing the fuel pump/sending unit to be screwed up,or may be leaking from a rust hole where it cant be seen.If it is running great and has 3 peadals it is one of those. As BJ would say crawl back under that jeep and dont come out till you are sure there are no leaks.

$10 bucks to fill it 75%??? wow!! where do you live and how much is your gas. If i put in 10 dollars of gas i would only get 4 gallons, which would only be about one quarter of the tank. Since my tank holds about 20 gallons. mabey you gauge is off. do as big jim says and fill that baby up!
