Money and time will be your biggest issue.
Lay your plan out carefully.
A small project can get out hand really quick. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> When I started my trooper a year ago I had planeed a few simple mods and I back on the road in a week. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
Well it's a year later and its become a frame off restoration. I'm touching every bolt and coating the parts I re-use and coating what I replace. My grand kids will driving this thing.
The longer your on this site and the more you read the bigger your project will get.
It's the Tim Taylor syndrome. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />

Getting the Wheeling Fever
It should serve as both. A daily driver and weekend mud molester. If time and money were an issue I doubt any of us
would be driving an isuzu <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

In the 17 years I've been driving mine, I've gone through a few batteries, a few tire changes, a couple brake jobs, a couple mufflers... and whatever other routine maintenance items were needed. OK, I did have to replace the head at 100K miles, but I bet if I had kept up on the coolant changes, etc, that might not have needed to be done. This thing has been _WAY_ more reliable than I could have hoped for when I bought it. What's the beef ?
