Aren't all Pitbull tires bias ply? I'd look into that before purchasing if they are going on a DD.

for me, the rodeo will remain the dd and the RS gets the dirt.
I'm not really sure that the new STT's are radial. Are they? The 'older' style plainly state that they are radials, but not really clear on the newer. It seems to me that just looking, most of the radials of most brands, don't have much sidewall tread. The bias ply tires seem to be the ones that have sidewall tread for more aggressivness.

Its pretty clear on the new ones as well... just look at the sizes

And yes, bias ply tires are known for overall better sidewalls from an off-road standpoint. The direction of the plies makes the sidewalls more puncture-resistant; and bias ply tires often have a more aggressive sidewall lugs than their radial counterparts.

Body Damage is Cool
I love my Procomp AT's. Great in the snow, good offroad traction. Like them so much I swiped them off the Amigo when we parted ways and mounted them onto my Monty.

And for those who actually remember me....I found out a few days ago that the kid who bought the Amigo from me totalled it in a snowstorm Guess he thought he was still driving his Mustang in the the summer.

There are also the Dunlop Radial Rover RT's as well... I took a serious look at them before I got my BFG's. They seem to be a fairly popular tire.

Need a Spot
I purchased Mastercraft Courser C/T in November to replace my Scorpions. Honestly I don't know if they are better in snow then the Pirellis because it hasn't snowed much here. But I seem to have a tighter turning radius with the new tires and them seem a bit louder then the Scorpions.

I beleive Mastercraft are Cooper tires.

Pete although I know that the noise is an issue for you you might as well go with the MT version of a tire. MTR's are going to be the lowest road noise but for a 265 at Costco you are still going to pay about 185 a tire.

I think that you will regret not going with the Mts of some version of tire. You gas milage will not change a noticable amount . The noise can always be dulled by a slight increase in radio noise. ..thats just my 2 cents though

Thanks for all the input. I mostly wanted to keep the smooth ride of the Revos AT's but I wanted the tires to look more aggressive to match the rest of the truck. I'm going to look at the Cooper Discover SST's and also reconsider going to MT's. Thanks,
Pete

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I ended up getting these:

Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's in 265/75/16. Perhaps not the most agressive-looking, but awsome-looking enough and VERY highly rated, both on-road and off-road, and not bad on the price. My rig is my DD, so I had to have good performance in both.

The ride extremely well on-road. Haven't taken them off-road yet (had them less than a week).

Ironically, thatÆs what Pete was running the last time I saw his Rodeo Sport (and is probably replacing right now)à

It was his many praises of them (and the fact that I saw how well he got around in Uwharrie with them û even in all of the rain/mud we had that trip) that helped me decide to put a set of them on the VX

Thanks again Pete!
