I'm new to this forum. My 95 LS 3.0 went Metal to Metal yesterday on the front brake pads/rotors,......so, Looks like I will be replacing the front rotors (warped) and pads a bit sooner than I expected.

I'm assuming that the pad replacement will be straight forward procedure.....But having now turned the rotors once a few years ago and they have now warped again,.....I guess I will now replace with new rotors.

When I last turned the rotors,....I know that there was some additional procedure that took a minute or two to remove the front rotors.........maybe removing a retainer clip or something similar..........can someone give me some details here?

I Know the original rotors were replaced twice by the original owner and when I bought it....at 148,000 miles, the rotors were again warped.

I'm thinking that this is an engineering issue on the 95 LS.

Is there a better,...more warp resistant brake rotor available somewhere?

Where is the best place to buy new rotors..........will probably replace all four (front and rear)

Then I will have to move on to my leaky valve covers......otherwise.............what a great truck it has been with now 186,000 miles on it and virtually NO unexpected repairs (one plug wire had to be replaced)

Also, have not yet found a Haynes repair manual or similar for the 95 3.0 LS. Can anyone suggest a source??
