Sounds to me like the throw out bearing is partially depressing the clutch pressure plate static before the pedal is pressed.

Was the replacement throw out bearing the same dimensions as the original?

Unbolt the slave cylinder from the tran to see if the clutch is partially depressed.

If you find it is, you need to verify two things

1) do you have the correct pressure plate

2) do you have the correct throw out bearing.

The clutch disc will go in either way, but he correct way is with the dampener spring offset facing the pressure plate side (toward you)
