anyone know the width of the tundra axle? also am i correct in thinking that if it was close to a t100 width you could get a trd tundra axle and add the toyota e-locker to it? or am i out in left field somewhere.

The tundra rear axle is the same, pre e-locker rear end...the e-locker can be put into the T100 axle housing with a little bit of modification, you would have to do some notching on the e-locker side of the axle housing and a bit of welding, its been done on the mini toyotas but havent seen anynone with a t100...

YOU CANNOT STUFF AN ELOCKER IN THE T-100 AXLE!!!!!!!
you can put it in a mini 8" axle housing with modification, but not in a T-100. The tundra rear axle is the same as a T-100. the TRD tundra does not get an elocker like a trd taco does.

i was under the impression the tundra had an e-locker option in the TRD..., but if it did im sure they went with a very different housing... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />, i guess if not an ARB would be in order.

ive talked to a few people about the lock-rite locker, but my guess is that it's not very strong...what other drop in locker s would be a better alternative to a spool, which i wouldnt mind if i only drove in the dirt...

The Loc-Rite is plenty strong... Plenty noisy, but strong. A quieter alternative is the PowerTrax No-Slip...

ARB or lock rite.
