I still can't figure out what people mean by wet pavement behavior unless it's 'roadway covered in 6" of standing water' behavior. Snow and ice are where the real adventure with one is at imho, way easier to go a$$ over teakettle. The best caution, as has been said, get familiar and don't get stoopid.

I was happy with the NoSlip, same Achilles heel as the Lock-rite, though, in the springs and pins. It locked tight and wasn't very noticeable at all on the street. An Aussie'd be an option too if there's one for Tacomas. I'm not sure if the softlocker is the Detroit or not. Might be, wasn't the EZ the junker they came out with about concurrent with the NoSlip? I remember reading one locker and a truetrac for this diff on their apps page recently. They were both full carrier designs.
