will the e-locker work in the front toyota axle (8" of course not the 7.5" ifs).

Yes. And if you're buying one from Diamond, you won't have to do any mods to the housing either (assuming you order it built for an E-locker).

I'm partial to ARB's myself though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> (and I have both)

Looking at Diamond Axles web site they have this info posted for the front axles

Front center sections:

* Ford 9" - 31 or 35 spline
* Toyota 4cyl/V6, Hi-pinion/low pinion, standard/Electric locker
* T100/Tundra/"8.4" - 30 or 35 spline

Note that there's the 8.4 inch again!

96 T100 4x4 - 35's, 4" SL, 2" BL, 4.88s, ARBs, custom bumper & E9000 winch, etc.

At least they put it in quotes, so they probably *know* it not really a 8.4...

Yes, I think Diamond put the quotes in on purpose since they realize that people still call it that.

I dug up one of the old pics I have:

[Linked Image]

IFS 7.5" front, 4cyl 8" and T100/Tundra middle, and D44 8.5" rear.

The two in the middle are the same size, but I had to hold the camera a certain way or you couldn't even see the second one. I was going to take some better pics, but I haven't gotten around to it...
