600 pounds is what it calls for...500 for tacomas and minis. The suspension preload can be set so its not going to be a problem, plus it's suppose to be pretty soft to soak up all the bumps, ill probably do triple bypass shocks someday when i feel like spending money i dont have... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

rear leaf springs are getting the retainer treatment, rossette weld holding them on. shackles are going to be needed for sure..

Problem, my shocks are the correct length now, but after taking 2 inches off from the blocks im going to have to make some new mounts.

Can i run say an all-pro offroad Tacoma lift shackle on the T???

Find out the overall length. I think stock T100 shackles are the same as Taco, but 1" longer. Check out Roger Brown too, 4crawler.

rather than study i did the usual researching of truck parts thing....following 4xGeek on the coil spring rates...600 was the lowest, probably rides like a caddy on the street but bottoms out like crazy offroad...switching to 700 pound coils instead, thought about 800 lb. coils but if im running 200 lbs. in the shock and about the same on a second shock that would be too firm for the street.

As far as shackles go, my stock ones are 4.5" eye to eye, im thinking ill look for something that like 4" longer to give me about 2" of lift i need.

taco are different width at the top, iirc.

big shackles are HEAVY!!

at what angle at rest? at 45 degrees, 4" will give you 2.8" of lift. you want 2.8" longer shckle to get 2" lift at 45 degrees on the shackle. you need to think about shackle angle.

you mentioned before 25 degrees is ideal...?

25 is where i have my truck and it works perfect for stuff/droop.

it's been discussed before, but im going to need a swaybar after doing the front end.

Options: Currie Universal Torsion style anti-rock bar
or modify the stock sway bar links to work with new front suspension.

Or rear hellwig sway bar. (will the rear sway bar work for a lifted truck?)
