Looks like it might go higher-but if it stays low-a good deal.

I think the brand new price is $300-$350

Be careful, bushwackers ff are rust catchers. I have them on my toy and like them but I'm trying to figure a way to let them drain better and not rub off the paint. Let me know if anyone has come up with anything.
Sid
Sherri, nice 4Runner. What part of Hawaii are you located. I have a friend going to hilo on the big island (I think) for a couple of months. If I can afford it, I may try to visit her for a little while. Could I drive your 4Runner . Just kidding.

Sid- Yeah I know what you mean about the Bushwackers. That little rubber strip for protection doesn't help much, but it's something. In Hawaii they have been really getting strict with the fender flare/mudflap laws, So I was forced to buy a set.

I am on the island of Kauai, but I was born in Hilo. It's a very pretty place, but not much to do. Glad you like my Runner. If you are ever on Kauai, feel free to come check it out anytime.

Hey Sheri,
Since you from Hilo and you says there nothing to do there, is there anything close? such as hiking, scuba diving, cliff diving, swimming, anything for the outdoor adventurist. We may try to rent a car and travel. She and I just graduated from college and funds are tight. I haven't even looked at a map yet so I'm not at all familiar. Just thought I would ask since you were born there. Thanks

Sid-
One more thing. On the weekends, hang down by a place called Banyan's. It's actually called Banyan Drive. All the hotels and stuff are down there. On Sat and Sunday the cool trucks, nice cars go and hang, drive around, check eachother's cars out.

There's also a small black sand beach right outside of Hilo, I can't remember the name, but lot's of trucks and VWs hang down there. If you ask someone they will know which places I am talking about. Hilo is really small.

Guys in Hilo love their Bugs, you will see a lot of them. At night there is a place called "blue lights" . It is an old airstrip. Kids go there at night to race and hang. I went one time but I didn't see any racing.

There is one 4X4 shop, I'll try and remember the name. It's in an industrial area. I remeber I seen a black 85 extra cab Toy, with a 454 in it. The guy fabricated everything. It wasn't the prettiest sight, but he got the job done. The motor was so big he had to put the radiator in the bed up against the tailgate!

Opps, sorry for rambling. Just some places to go cruise where you don't have to spend money. Hope you enjoy your vacation!

He he he, Hilo - I know that place! Born and raised there too. "Banyans" really isn't much of a scene now, they've improved Liliuokalani Park and there really isn't much room to park and hang along the wall. More people hang at 4 Miles in Keaukaha, could probably see lots of trucks pass by there. Of course, you gotta watch for the drunken sh*#s! The black sand beach you're talking about - Honoli'i? Not Bayfront, right???

I don't know, must be a Hawaii thing, but the last time I was back home, I saw tons of lifted trucks - huge lift - with smaller, FAT tires on WIDE rims. E.g., 7" - 10" lift with 33"x14" on 14" wide rims. A little ridiculous looking and very much POSER! But to each their own... I know the speed bumps are big around Hilo

Gee, this post has nothing to do with the topic - small kine on a tangent here... Oh, by the way, nice 4Runner! Just wanted to say Aloha!!!

Hey sege, thanks for the info. Yeah it's been a while since I've been there so I'm struggling to remember stuff. I guess when I was there Banyan's was more "happening"! I also remember a place that guys used to go race called "macadamia nuts"? Well anyways, nice to hear from another local. What you doing in Oregon? School?
