Need a Spot

1988 Trooper 2.6 manual. Speedometer works correctly half the time. Other times it seems to get out of proportion and show a much higher speed than actual. Anybody had a similar problem?

Also, my fuel gauge isn't working properly. From what I've seen in the other forums, the sending units are a likely cause, right?
