Finally after years of wheelin I bought a hi-steer kit. Trail Gear does a great job on their products. I have had nothing but great service with them. Anyone have any last minute tips on installing the IFS box I got from Sky. If so speak now before I toss the J-arm ....

Drilling through the frame is a PIA! Mount as far forward as possible with minimal pitman clearance to the frame to allow extra spring travel.

Mistakes never....Took off the old suspension, addded new arms and rods, removed old steering pumping in an hour. Just waiting on the new mount kit for IFS box to arrive. I will send you some good pics soon.

Of course there's no mistakes!! Good work man How much stuff is in the way w/box all the way to body mount? Is that where yer going w/it? It looks like not much on my '84, but alot on the '88 V6. Also, do you have dropped spring hangers?

Anyone out there know the length of the tie rod and drag link on a high steer kit. For 79-83 axles should be the same for all years. Can anyone give me the exact distance from center of FJ80 to center of FJ80 end for it is much easier to measure instead of going back and adjusting. This might be technical but i am sure the info is out there?????
