This must be a common thing with 2nd gens. My rodeo does the same. The wife is always taking the belt off and then back on just to get the tension to release. I thought the guys at the audio shop messed it up when they removed the pillar cover. I know there was a post a while back where the belts were not retracting after use. I don't think that is related to what we are experiencing, but you never know.
