Did you use some of the Toyota high temp RTV silicone sealer along with the Oring.

What I mean is fill the Oring groove in the pump with a small quantity of RTV and then inbed the Oring into the groove, then bolt the pump up to the timing cover. Make sure all the seal surfaces and Oring are oil free so the RTV will stick and don't over use the RTV so it doesn't ooze out to much.

Oh, and let it setup real good before you run the engine!
