You do NOT use RTV in that area.

Only the bolt just to the right of the relief valve gets RTV on the threads when it's installed. And I've had them leak from there when I've forgotten that. Check the FSM.

Claim yourself down, I understand if you use too much you run the risk of the ooze out getting into the main oil gallery after it sets up.

That's why I said " don't over use the RTV" and just in the Oring groove.

This is what I did when I did my cam/chain replacement. I had little if any ooze out, barely perceptible and it's been bone dry ever since.

If your gonna flame someone, have a good reason too!
