Anyone had a problem with an aftermarket fan (bearing) bracket? #703804 03/07/06 05:31 PM

Toyota only sells the fan brackets as an assembly with the fan clutch and pulleys (arm and leg) and I only need the fan bracket which should only cost an arm if Toyota would sell it by itself. There are some aftermarket ones out there but just worried about the quaility. Anyone using one?

yeah....i needed one an in my thread on here a guy posted a link 2 a place on ebay selling one.......got it 4 like 80 bucks all said an done i think..... iv had it on for idk...3 weeks an driven at least a thousand miles an its working great.....the freakin mounting holes didnt line up soo i redrilled one at it fit................do a search 4 fan shaft or fan bracket on here...... also i might have one 4 pretty cheap if ur interested...........hope some o this helps

Yeah I saw your earlier thread, that's how I found the aftermarket ones on e-bay. So it's working ok so far, except you got the wrong model year right?

yeah its workin great....spent awhile cussin b4 i jus redrilled the one hole........idk if its model year or wat....... im on a ranch n i have 2 get my parts shipped 2 some friends n town........like a week after i got it installed my buddy called an said theyd sent another bracket soo yeah i wonder if they shipped the wrong one .....i still have the second...........lemme know if ya want it....im gettin ready 2 move back 2 new orleans sooo im tryin2 clean house cuz i gotta load everything into my truck......

the actual bracket looks jus like the toyota one im pretty confidant in it....it took em a while 2 ship an that freakin hole didnt line up .... soo im not real impressed with the company but.. the brackets pretty good....

hey where ya at in ok?? ill b up round ft worth than gilmer tx next saturday........if ur anywhere close ill have this extra one lying around....or the ebay guys take bout a week an a half that parts store link idk they might b quicker an theyre only like 20 bucks more <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Actually I'm needing one for my 5VZFE engine, not the 3VZE. There are aftermarket brackets for both but they're different. Thanks for the info. I'm in Okla City area BTW.
