Hey everyone, I was about to install my tranny last night (finishing the rebuild on the 22re) and realized I lost all the bolts .... does anyone know the size, pitch and legnth of these bolts so I can just run to Ace and pick some up!? Thanks in advance guys!

Ok, I searched and found the sizes.. I need 4 M12x1.25 and 4 M10x1.25... but does anyone know the lengths of these bolts? Maybe someone knows a length I can just get away with, I just really want to mount this tranny on!

I've lost bolts too....and what I did is figure out the thread/pitch(you've got that) and then get a skinny screw driver and stick in in the hole till it bottems out, write down the measurement and take that to ACE.....

hope that helps.....

I'm feeling like an e-coors lite right now

i say go to the junkyard and take the side tranny bolts that are easy to get to out of a few diff. vehicles until you get them all. the top ones are a major pita w/o a body lift. you should only have to get them from two trucks to get all of them. if you want new ones you will pay at least $4.00 a piece for them. i had to buy them for my engine stand.

Don't know the thread pattern or count, but it was 4 17mm and about 6 14mm. And a 12mm on the exhaust bracket.

That would be the size of the bolt heads you are talking about. The bolt shafts are smaller than that, typically M12-1.25 and M10-1.25.

The 12mm x 1.25 bolts are a finer pitch than you will find at most hardware stores. 12 x 1.25, 12 x 1.5, 12 x 1.75 are the usual pitches in that diameter. I think 1.5 is what you are going to find at most places. I called and visited a half a dozen (that's 6 for those who went to public school) places before I found the right bolts at a big home improvement store called Menards. -- Matt
