I voted for synthetic because the poll didn't specify brand, but I don't use Amsoil, I use Mobil One. Been using it for nigh unto 20 years now with excellent results. FWIW I run it 10K with a filter change at 5K.


I just started using mobile 1 in my rodeo on the last (actually my first for this vehicle) oil change. I have mine done at a shop since I hate laying on the ground in the parking lot in winter doing it, and oil changes just dont seem fun to me anyomore so I cant be bothered. What surprised me is the sticker they put in the window to tell you when the next change is due still says 3k miles even with synthetic. I'm not going to have it done till around 7k though, costs way too much with their mark up to change it so early.
