The 2.6 4 cyl was not the most reliable engine. Prone to cracked heads and spun bearings. For most Mitsu engine swaps, you neet to also swap the tranny and Tcase. That gets expensive. I did what the Aussies do and swapped in a Chevy 4.3 drive train.
Previously I had gone the Thorsen header, Weber Carb and high lift cam. It ran great but failed emissions.
