In retrospect, I would not want to put a fabricated hitch (for the trailer) just for the slim possibility of Liability for towing a trailer.. If the damn thing let go and caused some god awfull accident I would be in some pretty deep Ka Ka... Only need to think "Insurancy Company" and "Lawyers" to make that dream come true...

i highly doubt youll find any company that has 100% guarentee on their receivers or hitches regarding failure... using state minimal required liability ins would cover any loss/damage you cause by a receiver or hitch failure. and besides thats why you want a proper area to hook the assist chians up to. here at work, weve fabed up class III receivers (under bumper frame mount) and hitches for pulling the likes of a best western on wheels... years gone by, still not one sniff of a problem. its all in the material you use and having a great welder to drop the beads. imho, theyre far superior then what you can buy without draining your bank accound.

As for attack angle loss with an undercarrage hitch brought up in a previous post.. I don't know..
You will reduce your departure angle, yes, but you can always take out the bolts and remove the hitch if you think that will be an issue.
