Getting the Wheeling Fever

Okay I am wiring up some ProComp 8 inch foggies. I am using a factory switch. I need to make a harness for it but there are 5 prongs on the back anyone kknow what they are 4? Why 5?

I have never pulled one of those switches off but it almost makes sense that that would be a built in relay. I am probably way off on that but someone else should chime in anytime now.

Before you tear into that switch it would probably be much easier to use the stock fog light wiring and relay as chances are that your Rodeo is already wired for fog lights. All it needs is the relay, switch (which you already have) and some lights. Not sure about 2nd Gen, but the wires should be taped up between the headlights and fender, You should be able to either buy the Isuzu foglight pigtails and splice your aftermarket fog lights into them or cut off the connector and hook up there.

I already have factory fogs. I am mounting these on the rack with a factory switch in the change bezel in the center console. I just need to know the wiring specs on the 5 prongs on the back of the stock switch. That way I can construct a female harness. But thanks for the try. Anyone have wiring specs on these? 2nd gen. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Just ohm out the switch.
Put a meter on it and go from pin to pin.
Start with a lead on one pin and put the other lead on
another pin... With the switch pushed in, see if you
get continuity. If so, turn the switch off and see if you
have continuity. If it breaks the circuit, you found your
two wires to work the relay. If it doesn't, proceed to the
next wire until you find the two.
One of the wires will also be a ground for the LED or bulb
in the switch, if it's an illuminated switch.
