I am using the BFG All-Terrains KO's. I purchased these rims back from a friend after he put on the tires. I haven't wanted to spend $$ on having the letters out. When these tires are done, I'm getting muds!

So are 8" rims the "best" for 10.5 tires looks wise and for functionality?

"Best" is always a matter of opinion, perception, and experience. Maybe? I've run 31x10.5's on 6", 7", and 8" rim widths. The BFG have the rim band protector on the sidewall. I don't know. I think these tires on 10" rim look silly.

7-8 is the good middle. Factory rims are 6 inch and considered to thin but many run them just fine. 10 inch would be to wide, that's what most people run that have 33x12.5's
