The only other spec in the FS section, aside from alignment specs, is one that says to maintain 20 mm +/- 2 mm between the bottom of the bump stop, and the control arm during reassembly, before tightening the bolts on the lower control arm shaft, and before installing the torsion bar.

This is only so that you don't have to twist the lower CA bushings out of whack when you reassemble, not what Don needs to know...

hmmmm.

I've currently got myself set up at about 34.5" at the fender over the center of the wheel, which appears to be almost exactly center of the headlights, funny enough. That puts about 5/8" to 3/4" of clearance between the bump stop and the control arm. I'm pretty sure when I had it set lower that I was bottoming out, there are a couple of very, very nice potholes under "the mixing bowl" along 395 on the way to the pentagon every day...
