Body Damage is Cool
I just lifted my brothers new amigo last night. It took me 7-1/2 hours working by myself. I was having a hard time with the spring compressirs. It took me awhile but I got one spring and spacer in using the spring compressir. It took me forever to get that in. And after I got it in I couldn't spin the spring to "seat it" So I ended up taking the upper arms off on the diff side. and dropped the axle all the way to the floor. After I did that I was able to get the other spring/spacer in, in about 10min.
I should of just did that to start with!!!

I installed OME 912's plus 2" coil spacers. We gained nearly 5" in the rear, and I lifted the front about 3.75". Theres a 2" rake from front to rear.
I also installed some rancho rs5000's that I had left over.

It was a pain to get the old shocks out. they were rusted.
I had to weld on a old crappy wrench to the shock shaft to keep it from turning ......And get this..I welded the wrench too low, I could not compress the shock to get it out on the passenger side oops... I had to cut the lower "eye" off of the shock to get it out. Its kinda hard to explain. You have to compress the passenger side shock becuase of the track bar mount.
I had the same problem on the drivers side shock too. So I welded a wrench on that also. Theres no track bar mount on the drivers side so that was easy to get out.

It rides great!!!! you really can't even tell its lifted when you drive it.

I like it alot!!!!! so doing anything else to the front??? or is that it? leaving it at a 2" rake? Looks good, now all your brother needs is some bigger rubber, bumpers, and some rocker protection

I don't know. Does it look too low in the front?? I was kinda afaid to go any higher. I went 4" in the front really. But I think it was sagged in the front pretty bad.
Maybe I should go another inch??
We have more plans in the book for it trust me:D

The 2" rake is pretty noticable. If you could get 4" out of the front, i would say do it, but i would think your bumpstops are probably hating you right now.

It looks really good. I also want to see it with the claws on it again!

Very cool!

The rake isn't that bad. Load it up with some stuff and you won't notice at all.

Thats the thing I did lift it 4" already, in the front.I did 16 full turns on each TB bolt. I'll have to look at the clearance between the bump stop. It might have been sagged 1" in the front, so It might only be lifted 3" over stock. But I did lift it 4" from where it was. It was at 32" to the bottom of the fender flare, ad now its 36".

Remember those rear coils will settle some.
