Cylinder misfire code P0301 / 96-T100 #707053 03/17/06 05:23 AM

Replaced plugs, wires and then still had cylinder #1 misfire
So I switched Ignition coils from #1 to #3 and #3 to #1 to see if it was the Ignition coil but still came up with a #1 cylinder misfire!
could it be a faulty Injector?
Any one have any thoughts?

did you try switching just the spark plug from cylinder 1 to see if you got a misfire??? are you using denso plugs or another brand?

I replaced all plugs with new Denso plugs and wires and still got the #1 Misfire code then I switched the ignition coils from #3 to #1 and still got the #1 Misfire code
I think if it was the #1 Ignition coil it should have registered a #3 misfire when it was switched

Did you reset the codes in the computer after the change?

Codes were reset each time and also test driven each time that I did any one thing so I would know what might have worked

I would still go back to the spark plug itself in cyclinder #1, being the cheapest part that could be problematic replace that with a plug from another cylinder with your coils in the correct order etc and see if you get misfire on the cyclinder the spark plug from #1 went into...

I think he's trying to tell us, he had this problem before he put on these new parts.
