If someone is interrested (in glaciers) here?s a map of the glacier that is behind us on the pics above and PartyTruck is talking about. It?s called Eyjafjallajokull (Eyjafjallaglacier or Island-mountain-glacier in direct translation) and is adjacent to one of the biggest volcanos in Iceland that is still active. That one is called Askja and is beneath 800 meters of the ice of Myrdalsjokull (Myrdalsglacier). The red cross is where we parked to take the pics.
