I gave this a little thought today, and I think I came up with a simple answer for everyone.

First of all, my brake line was too short and cracking anyway, plus I had the axle out. That's why I replaced it. Custom was cheap and very nice. Braided steel really helps with brake feel adn control.

The easiest way to replace the rear springs is to disconnect the lower shock bolts and disconnect one end of the brake line. Then jack the body/frame up until the springs fall out. Easy.

Installation is the reverse. Make sure you get the spring cushoins on right or you will end up with a continuous booming sound in the cab at highway speeds. Don't ask how I know <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Gravity bleed the rear brakes and, viola! 2" rear lift.
