Well, I have finally realized that the 22RE is not quite up to the task just yet here on the Autobahns... I can cruise comfortably at 80 (as long as there is no headwind), but as soon as I hit the slightest grade or headwind, the poor hamsters get tired. I am looking for ideas to free up more power.

Here's what I run:

22-RE
0.040" overbore
EB SS Pistons
EB SS/OS valves
EB 270/430 cam
EB H/V Oil pump
EB Steel rail timing set
EB Water pump
Intake gasket-matched
2.25" exhaust, Flowmaster 50 series
K&N drop-in filter
Denso plugs/wires, OEM cap/rotor
Redline synthetic oils in transmission, transfer, and diffs.
I also dropped down to 31's before bringing the rig here.

What else can I do? Would an MSD-6A help? I know I can bump my timing up and run premium, but with the cost of fuel over here, it's not really an option ($2.64 for 86 octane, $2.79 for 88, and $2.99 for 91 *on base*).

Who has any ideas? EB?

BTW: It needs to remain a reliable DD while here... I am not looking to go 200 mph, just to not get run over when passing a semi.
