My buddy and I are changing the clutch on his 93 v6 pickup and we cannot get the pilot bearing out. We started with a headbolt and some grease, but the covers werent on the bearing anymore and the grease went right through the bearing. We tried a homebuilt slide hammer with a big ol socket and that didnt make it budge either. Now we have a pilot bearing removal tool and that doesnt work either, the arms bend and the bearing doesnt budge....We've been spraying it with wd-40 with no help. Please help us out! thanks in advance

pb blaster also works a lot better at stuff like that than wd40. i used the grease packing method and dowel to remove mine, and one on a 4runner.

Welcome; what did you guys use to cut it out with? Curious; I've been pretty lucky in the past with these.

Where do you get pb blaster???? Ive never seen it around anywhere. margie, We used a dremel and the small size cutting discs. we made some nicks in the crank, but nothing to major. After that it came out with no effort.
