On a 91 pickup I have a leak from the fuel hard line right before it goes into a rubber line at the rear of the cab. It looks like there are clamps holding the two lines together. I would guess that means they are low pressure. I would rather not buy a new hard line and I would like to know if I can splice in a new short section of hard line and then connect some fuel hose to it.

Are brake lines and fuel lines the same? Can I get some brake lines at the parts store and use it for the fuel line?
