Getting the Wheeling Fever

i just bought a 2002 rodeo ls which came with a remote for locking and unlocking which did not working asumeing bad batteries i replaced them still doesnt work could it need programming if so how or just be bad?

Follow the instructions here I had to do this once and it works fine to reprogram the remote. The dealer will charge you up to 100 bucks to do the same thing. Apparently, only change/remove one battery at a time to prevent the remote from "deprogramming."
