Speaking of jack points, I do a fair amount of exploring off road and the factory jack barely works on pavement. I have a high lift which works fine on the rear bumper but as for jacking the front the truck - forget it.

Questions -

1. I have never actually used the high lift on the rear bumper. Does the lifting nose on the jack work safely with the stock Taco bumper or do you need the bumper lift accessory?

2. What do you think is the best way to go for the front - replace front bumper or get sliders strong enough to lift the truck? I don't want to weld on my frame but I have heard that the bolt on sliders can support the truck. Is there any other cheaper alternative?

Thanks
